WordPress 50,000

by Scott Beale on March 1, 2005 · 0 comments

Matt just announced that WordPress 1.5 has already been downloaded over 50,000 times!

Less than two weeks ago at the Upgrade Party, it had only been downloaded 6,000 times when I shot this photo halfway through the evening.

Kudos to the WordPress development team for doing such a great job with this release. Since 1.5 came out, I’ve personally seen quite a few people either start a new blog using WordPress or migrate from another weblog script. Of course, WordPress is what we recommend to all of our web hosting customers who are interested setting up a blog on their website.
