Free Ride? how is being promised one thing and then getting the bait-and-switch a ‘Free Ride’? There’s a reason she got awarded a vehicle in the end: Because the owners were dishonest. .

It was said they implied and outright SAID vehicle, and even spoke of the winner driving it to work. It wasn’t until the end that they started saying “TOY YODA”. The bosses tried to get one over on her, after reaping the rewards of her extra effort. And Zombieslayer, it’s a pretty simple concept: You get the car, use it as collateral on a loan for the tax, and make payments on that loan. She’d still be ahead a bunch of money compared to making payments on the whole price of the rig. I can’t believe the people that blame her, she got ripped off, is she just supposed to suck it up in order to keep a job everyone here speaks of as being a crappy job in the first place? People need to understand the concept of standing up for yourself. This is WAS a classic case of the rich getting richer at other people’s expense, I for one am glad she stopped it this time. Good for her.

Heh. That’s pretty funny.
She doesn’t seem like the friendliest person in the world in that picture.

Anyways, winning anything, you have to pay 39% tax on it. Let’s say the Toyota is $20,000 (my math skills suck, make it easy on me). So, she’d have to shell out $7800. Not sure she has that much money just laying around working at Hooters. They don’t make THAT much money.
