You can get a bottle of Super Sexy Hot Tan Sunscreen from comedian and actor Will Ferrell by donating $25 to Cancer for College, a charity organization founded by Ferrell’s friend (and two-time cancer survivor) Craig Pollard that helps “cancer survivors realize their dream of going to college.” Donors will also have a chance to win a signed cowbell (pdf rules). This fundraising event is part of the Mozilla Firefox Challenge.
Hospital visits, surgeries and treatments are expensive, and families use every last resource to keep their loved ones alive. For the survivors and their families, the battle isn’t over even after the cancer has gone into remission. For many of these survivors, college is no longer an option. We receive over 1,500 applications for support each year and we are only able to help a fraction of those kids.
This is why Cancer for College needs to win. We can help cancer survivors afford the opportunity to attend college.
