@Oliver: Just because Scientology is an insane sect doesn’t mean it’s legal to ban it. Passing legislation directed expressly against one religion goes completely against the Constitution, no matter how crazy it is. The leaders could be prosecuted for stealing money and ruining lives, but the religion itself shouldn’t be banned.

The price of freedom is having to listen to the likes of the Church of Scientology without being able to impose a federal ban on their ‘religious’ activities in order for the rest of us to continue to have a choice in what we choose and choose not to worship. Still, I’m glad to see the Wikipedia crack-down, this is one case where the Church of Scientology has been known to abuse the system and is rightfully banned, just as any other group of individual would be under the same circumstances.

Now, if they’d just get caught up in a baby-sacrificing scandal, or something, so we’d have just cause to label them a dangerous cult, and we’d be all set. . .

We all know this is a sect and what their intentions are. It shouldn’t be up to Wikipedia to fight the scientology but to the US govt to ban from the country forever. Here’s a real trial happening in France, which I hope will mean the end of the infamous group of crooks they are:
