Wes Copeland Reclaims the Donkey Kong Throne With a New World Record Score

On May 5th, 2016 competitive gamer Wes Copeland reclaimed the Donkey Kong video game throne by acquiring a new world record score of 1,218,000. Copeland managed to not lose a single Mario throughout the game, which allowed him to cash in all of the extra lives at the end. Shortly after obliterating the competition, Copeland stated on Facebook that it would be his last record score.
