Vimeo Launches High Def Channel Featuring HD Videos

by Scott Beale on October 15, 2007 · 3 comments

Vimeo recently launched a High Def Channel featuring HD videos (1280×720). The sample video I posted here is “5 Vignettes in HD” by Blake Whitman.

Crappy online video just became a whole lot less crappy.

UPDATE: The New York Post is reporting that Vimeo will soon be announcing that they will begin distributing videos in HD. Here’s more coverage from Marshall Kirkpatrick over on Read/WriteWeb.

Yeah, but there’s no easy way to watch it at 1280×720. How’s that HD? http://www.robotskirts.com/?p=1074
