Vancouver Man Nearly Falls as He Sets New World Record for ‘Longest Free Solo Highline’ in the Sport of Slacklining

Vancouver man Spencer Seabrooke nearly fell recently as he set a new world record for “Longest Free Solo Highline” in the sport of slacklining, where a length of flat webbing is tensioned between two anchor points with some bounce left in the line.

Seabrooke walked 64 meters across the Stawamus Chief north-north gully in Squamish, British Columbia at a height of 290 meters without any safety harness or connection to the line itself, but thankfully he caught himself each time he slipped on the line.
