Underdogs, Portraits of Dogs Blended With Their Human Companions

In the portrait series titled Underdogs, Swiss photographer Sebastian Magnani has blended photos of dogs with an image of their human companion.

Magnani explains his inspiration for this photo-manipulation project, which started in 2009 (translated):

In 2009, I had to blend a spontaneous idea, my dog with my friend in one person. Thus I was able to put on my bedside table a picture of my two favorites in one picture. The image was then published in the same year in a skateboard magazine, where I was briefly introduced to a variety of work! Then after a long pause, I then requested a dog training school in the summer of 2012 and will be there to look after various masters and dogs – thus extending my series to take some pictures. For the next few years I would naturally find more dogs / inside with Annex and expand the series! Currently not all assemblies are defined by master / dog, but will continue in 2012 and continued consistently!
