Twitter NYC

Researchers Ed Manley and James Cheshire from University College London (UCL) have teamed up with John Barrat of Trendsmap to create Twitter NYC, an interactive online map detailing multilingual tweets in the New York City area. The map was created using 8.5 million tweets between January 2010 and February 2013. Tweets in English are marked in grey, while Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Korean, French, Turkish, Arabic, and Italian are denoted with bright colors.
