My 4 pack of Tru Blood O Positive arrived last week, it’s a based on the synthetic blood substitute that vampires drink in the HBO series True Blood, which just finished Season 2. It’s a tart, lightly sweetened blood orange carbonated drink created by our friends at Omni Consumer Products, the same people who produce Brawndo – The Thirst Mutilator and Sex Panther Cologne.

It’s unfortunate that the bottle shape is somewhat like many barbecue sauce bottles, but Omni is a great group.

This, is not from The Onion? Even this, “…the same guys who produce Brawndo – The Thirst Mutilator and Sex Panther Cologne,” is for real? The whole thing, is true? “Stranger than fiction”. And of course, “Marketing at work” at HBO at least. Impressively awesome. So, how do you like it? Have you sensed any transformation in your sensitivity to light yet?

The bottle is the exact replica of the bottle used on true blood, this stuff is great! one of the best shows on tv also.

Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator is a proud sponsor of Robogames 2009, and is made of juicy green goodness. It has also presented us with a method of staying awake during grueling load in and show days that does not actually involve developing a methamphetamine habit. It’s also really nice in vodka. So, yeah, it’s real, I had a pallet of it in my garage for a time. Delicious.
