Trail Therapy, A Short Film About Steve Fugate’s 34,000-Mile Walk for Depression Awareness

“Trail Therapy” is a moving mini documentary about Steve Fugate, a 64-year-old who raises awareness of depression and suicide by walking across the country with a sign that reads: “LOVE LIFE.” Fugate began the project in 1999 after his son committed suicide. He has since endured the death of his daughter from an accidental drug overdose, as well as seven crossings of the U.S. and some 34,000 miles of walking. You can follow his LOVE LIFE project on Facebook and on his Trail Therapy website. The film was created by Cyrus Sutton for Korduroy.tv.
