In his film “Traceroute“, artist, filmmaker and self-described “life-long nerd” Johannes Grenzfurthner documented his amusing road trip across the United States from west to east, accompanied by videographer Eddie Codel and sound-person Jenny Marx. Along the way the group encounters and introduces the audience to the people and places of nerdy fascination.
Traceroute wants to chase and question the ghosts of nerddom’s past, present and future. An exhilarating tour de farce into the guts of trauma, obsession and cognitive capitalism.
