Tiny Fisherman’s Wharf Tilt-Shift Video

by Scott Beale on August 24, 2009 · 3 comments

Bhautik Joshi created a really cool tilt-shift video of San Francisco’s infamous tourist trap Fisherman’s Wharf using his homemade DIY tilt-shift lens Plungercam 2.

Poor old Fishermans Wharf never gets any love from anyone who actually lives in San Francisco, so I set out to miniaturize it and see if that helped.

I’m not sure what tilt-shift is (but I’m going to look it up) but this made me smile. IT reminds me of the Gerry Anderson shows such as ‘Thunderbirds’ and ‘Captain Scarlett.’
FAB!

The Wikipedia article does a pretty good job of explaining Tilt-Shift photography: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilt-shift_photography

aw, I was hoping to see Forbe’s Island in there. It was so close to being shown in some scenes.
