The Vehicle Arrestor by Barrier1 Systems is a fairly innocuous-looking net that can stop a 15,000 pound truck traveling at 50 mph. The word “stop” in this instance can also be understood as “completely demolish.” Barrier1 Systems builds a variety of vehicle stopping products, most of which are even less gentle to speeding vehicles than the Vehicle Arrestor (a number of unhappy cars and trucks meet spectacular ends in the Barrier1 demonstration video.)
