In 1976 Chuck Cihak celebrated a rare San Francisco snowstorm by skiing six blocks in the Noe Valley neighborhood. San Francisco Chronicle freelance photographer William E. Reister captured the event for posterity. Cihak recounted his experience to the Chronicle’s Peter Hartlaub.
