The Long Now Foundation Is Raising Funds for Two Robots for Their Multifunction Space The Interval

The Interval at the Long Now Foundation

The Long Now Foundation is raising funds to install two intriguing robots in The Interval, the Foundation’s café, bar, and multifunction space in San Francisco (see previously). The Chalkboard Robot is a pulley-operated chalk drawing machine that will be used for presentations, messages, and menus. It will be designed and built by Swiss artist Jürg Lehni. The Bespoke Gin Robot will be able to mix custom gins from a library of 15 botanicals. To bring both robots to The Interval, the Long Now Foundation has added a stretch of $550,000 to their ongoing fundraiser.
