The Long Career of Michael Kelly, The Actor Who Plays Doug Stamper in House of Cards

In the first episode of his new “bite-sized” series for IMDb, host Brandon Hardesty of “No Small Parts” takes a look at veteran actor Michael Kelly, his role as Doug Stamper in House of Cards, the various roles he’s played over the years and how his unique looks allow him to easily play either good or evil.

If you’ve been watching House of Cards, chances are you hate this man, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. That means that the actor Emmy nominated Michael Kelly is doing his job, but before he made us all feel uncomfortable as frank Underwood’s Chief of Staff, he was a busy character actor. Michael has been around in film and television since the late nineties. His first acting jobs came when he was around 30 years old.
