The Feature-Length Comic Strip Documentary ‘STRIPPED’ Has Been Released

STRIPPED, the feature-length comic strip documentary by Fred Schroeder and Dave Kellett of Sequential Films, was recently released on April 1st, 2014. It’s packed full of interviews with “77 of the world’s best cartoonists.” They all explore the world of newspaper comics, webcomics, and how comics in general survive in today’s society. This list of interviewees includes Bill Watterson, creator of the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip and illustrator of the STRIPPED film poster. The documentary is currently available to purchase online from iTunes.

Featured interviews include: Cathy Guisewite (Cathy), Lynn Johnston (For Better or For Worse), Mort Walker (Beetle Bailey), Mike & Jerry (Penny Arcade), Matt Inman (The Oatmeal), Kate Beaton (Hark! A Vagrant) and Patrick McDonnell (Mutts). Set to original music by Stefan Lessard of Dave Matthews Band, the film is a must-see for comics fans.
