The Creation of a 1992 National Geographic Cover Story

This fascinating 1992 video shows how a National Geographic magazine story was put together in the time before digital photography. The video follows the creation of photographer Joe McNally’s story The Sense of Sight, which was the cover story for the November, 1992 issue of National Geographic (see McNally’s post about the video). The video was produced for National Geographic by Douglas Paynter.
