The Coruscant Tapestry, A 30-Foot Cross-Stitch Canvas That Tells the Entire ‘Star Wars’ Saga

The Coruscant Tapestry

London-based designer and illustrator Aled Lewis teamed up with friends and family to create “The Coruscant Tapestry,” an incredible 30-foot cross-stitch canvas that tells the entire Star Wars saga. You can view “making of” photos on Flickr and photos of the tapestry on display at the Gallery1988 blog. It is available to purchase online from Gallery1988.

A hand-stitched cotton thread on 30 foot of continuous length of 7 stitch per inch Klostern fabric. Stiffened with a thin batting and hemmed with a custom-made printed pixel star farbric on rear. This cross-stitch tapestry depicts the ‘Star Wars’ saga (so far) from Episode I to Episode VI. Quotes from each movie are written in Aurebesh on the surrounding border. Channeling the Bayeux Tapestry.
