One of my kids (I'm a teacher) told me he is "Monetizing his Twitter stream." ARGH! Of course I said spam by any other name is still spam and that it won't work. They don't get how influence and economics are entwined the same way some people are better salesmen. Hmm maybe that's a good explanation. But seriously, how are we going to explain to the kids that spamming Twitter isn’t a socially acceptable way to make money?
