‘The Bay Lights’ Launches Crowdfunding Campaign to Keep the Bridge Installation Open Through 2026

“The Bay Lights” is a monumental light sculpture by Leo Villareal that is currently installed on the San Francisco — Oakland Bay Bridge. The installation will complete its two-year run in March 2015. Illuminate the Arts, the installation’s producer, is working to make “The Bay Lights” a permanent feature of the bridge. As part of that effort, they recently started raising funds via a crowdfunding campaign to the keep the installation running through 2026.

We’ve previously written about “The Bay Lights” several times over the years.
