The Expo for Independent Arts returns for it’s 9th year this Saturday, September 27th at Dolores Park in San Francisco, featuring a great line-up of exhibitors, plus performers and workshops. Here are some photos I shot at last year’s Expo.

On September 27, 2008, the Bay Area’s only grassroots connection fair for independent arts, music and culture moves outdoors to sunny Dolores Park in San Francisco.

The Expo for Independent Arts is a unique “Free Culture Fair” — an all-day extravaganza where the emphasis is on making connections, sharing resources and creating culture and community. All are welcome at this community melting pot — creative folks, fans, patrons, arts and culture workers, hobbyists, producers, youth, adults and families.

Admission is free — NO ONE is turned away. The Expo features dozens of Bay Area arts organizations, free workshops, performances, and hundreds of local artists and musicians.

Each year attendees browse tables staffed by local galleries, nonprofits, collectives and small businesses; access services and resources; and join workshops and salons on arts skills, methods, practices, history and issues.
