Jason Schultz is a terrific performer as well as a lsolid egal scholar! I was personally thrilled to see Julie Ahrens hold up the Documentary Filmmakers' Statement of Best PRactices in Fair Use, the distillation of community practice that made it possible for doc filmmakers to use fair use in the first place (even BEFORE they visit their lawyers!). It's here: centerforsocialmedia.org/fairuse. Doc filmmakers can use it to come to a decision of those fair use clips! (and much more) At this point, every E&O insurer in the doc biz accepts fair use claims grounded in the Statement. This was a thrilling panel, and a great format.
