SXSW Interactive 2008 Pocket Guide

I just arrived in Austin, enjoying the cool and rainy calm before the impending chaos of SXSW Interactive 2008 which begins tomorrow, Friday March 7th.

SXSW Interactive Director Hugh Forrest just posted an excellent list of 15 Last-Minute Tips for SXSW Interactive, including a video explaining some of the layout changes at the Austin Convention Center this year. He also mentioned that the wonderful pocket guide that they hand out at registration is now available as a PDF which you can download and print out. It includes schedule information, along with maps of the convention center and downtown Austin.

Registration opens tomorrow Friday, March 7th at 10am and programming begins at 2:30pm. If you are new to SXSW, don’t miss “How to Rawk SXSW: The Basics” at 3:30pm on Friday as well as the follow-up “How to Rawk SXSW: Achieving Geekgasm” at 11:30am on Saturday, March 7th.

Oh and one of my favorite SXSW sessions is returning this year. Be sure to check out “Battledecks II” at 5:00pm on Friday, brought to you by Mule Design Studio and Get Satisfaction.
