In the stunning time-lapse video “ICELIGHT TORONTO,” filmmaker Gavin Heffernan documented a beautiful but destructive ice storm that coated Toronto in ice over the holidays. The first half of the video gives a good sense of both the beauty of the ice and the havoc it caused, while the second half features surreal digital effects.
