In the stunning video “Strobe,” a single figure clad in a flashing LED suit performs a seemingly impossible parkour routine through the streets and rooftops of Kuala Lumpur at night. The effect was achieved not through digital trickery, but with teams of men clad in LED suits, each man taking a pose in a sequence of movement. The men were suspended in elaborate rigs, which provided the illusion of the parkour character soaring through the air. The video required a production team of hundreds, including acrobats, martial artists, engineers, and crew (see the making-of video below). “Strobe” is part of the “Amazing in Motion” video series by Lexus.
