Stick Figures Die in Variety of Gruesome Ways in New Train Safety Videos by Metro Los Angeles

Stick figures meet their untimely ends after not following safety instructions in a new series of videos by Metro Los Angeles. The videos were inspired by the popular “Dumb Ways to Die” safety campaign by Metro Trains in Melbourne, Australia. They feature a variety of gruesome cartoon deaths, and tips on how riders can avoid a similar fate.

“Safety is our highest priority for Metro riders. These videos are edgy by design because we want these messages to stick,” said Metro Board Chair and Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. “A lapse of attention at a rail crossing or unsafe behavior at a station can have dire if not deadly consequences. Let’s all do our part to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.”
