‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Will Take Place 30 Years After the Events of ‘Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi’

Lucasfilm has recently announced that they will begin filming the principal photography of their upcoming movie Star Wars: Episode VII, directed by J.J. Abrams, in May 2014. They have also confirmed that Episode VII will take place approximately 30 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18th, 2015.

‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces. No further details on casting or plot are available at this time.
