Come celebrate the spirit of musical discovery at the first Biennial
Berkeley Edge Fest - A Festival of Contemporary Performance, June 5-8 at
Hertz Hall on the UC Berkeley campus.

This five-concert festival will focus on the music of experimentalists
and pioneers who have contributed groundbreaking works to the modern
musical canon, including performances and appearances by such
distinguished composers as Terry Riley, Cindy Cox, Edmund Campion,
Ingram Marshall, Steve Lacy, George Lewis, David Wessel, =93America=92s
composer laureate=94 (San Francisco Chronicle) John Adams, and a tribute
to one of the most important figures in 20th century music, Lou =20
Harrison.

The Berkeley Edge Fest is produced by Cal Performances in association
with the Department of Music and the Center for New Music and Audio
Technologies at UC Berkeley.

=46rom Interstate 80 (San Francisco, Oakland, Marin):
Exit on University Avenue. Continue east on University Avenue
approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street. Turn right on Oxford Street,
pass Bancroft Way, and turn left on Durant Avenue. Stay on Durant. Go
five blocks and turn left onto College Ave. Go one block and turn left
onto Bancroft Way. Look for the parking structure on your right (under
the tennis court). Hertz Hall is located on the campus a few yards
beyond the parking structure.

=46rom Highway 24:
Exit on Telegraph Avenue. Continue north on Telegraph Avenue
approximately 2 miles to Durant St. Turn right onto Durant and go two
blocks to College Ave. Turn left onto College Ave. and go one block to
Bancroft way. Turn left on Bancroft Way and look for the parking
structure on your right (under the tennis court). Hertz Hall is located
on the campus a few yards beyond the parking structure.

Parking: There is a campus parking lot located at: Bancroft Way between
College Avenue and Bowditch Street

Richmond Line: Exit at Berkeley Station, located at the corner of Center
Street and Shattuck Avenue. Walk one block east on Center Street to the
campus, then turn right on Oxford Street until Bancroft Way. Turn left
on Bancroft. Continue on Bancroft for approximately 5 blocks. When you
see a parking structure under a tennis court, turn into the campus and
walk a few yards beyond the parking structure to find Hertz Hall.

Concord Line: Exit at Rockridge Station. Take a #51 AC Transit Bus north
on College Avenue to the campus and exit at exit at Bancroft Way and
College Avenue for Hertz Hall.
