Often seen performing together in some of the Bay Area's
most notable dance companies, local favorites Kara Davis, Bliss
Kohlmyer Dowman and Heidi Schweiker come together for the first time
to present an evening of their own work, April 7-9, 2006 at Dance
Mission Theater in San Francisco. Drawing on a history of sharing in
the creation and performing of works by Janice Garrett and Margaret
Jenkins, as well as years of common training, friendship and critical
dialogue, these three Bay Area dancers join forces to promote their
choreographic voices within the new generation of San Francisco
choreographers. The program includes both a premiere and a repertoire
work from each choreographer. Local composers Daniel Berkman, Jefre
Cantu-Ledesma, and Danny Grody contribute original music.
