You may or may not have heard of this amazing film before, but you
will walk away convinced that this is the coolest movie you've seen
is long long time.
Santa Cruz Guerilla Drive-In Presents
DARK DAYS
Near New York City's Penn Station, squatters have been living for
years next to the Amtrak tracks underground. Dark Days is an
unromanticized and fascinating glimpse of the lives of a community of
homeless people surviving in a train tunnel in Manhattan. A movie
that takes you down below the streets into the heart of NYC's
subterranean shantytowns. The squatters themselves served as the cast
and crew of this independent movie with a non-existent budget. It won
three major awards at Sundance. Rico is hosting.
PLUS thrilling and funny short films, an intermission, and great
company.
Friday September 30th, 8:00pm
Railroad Tracks at Fair Ave, Santa Cruz
BRING lawn chairs, blankets, pillows, friends, wine, & food to share
for intermission. Donations are greatly appreciated and directly
support the project and the Revolutionary Garden Society who sponsors
Guerilla Drive-In.
SANTA CRUZ GUERILLA DRIVE-IN is an outdoor movie theatre under the
stars that springs up unexpectedly in the fields and industrial
wastelands. Beyond showing great movies and bringing a broad
community together, part of our mission is helping reclaim public
space and transforming our urban environment into the joyful
playground it should be.
