SF History: The Balloon Boy of San Francisco

The San Francisco History Association presents:

The Balloon Boy of San Francisco
guest speaker: Dorothy Leland


A visual presentation based on the book "The Balloon Boy of San
Francisco" will be given this evening. Dorothy Leland will give her
lecture about the San Francisco waterfront, mail delivery, the rise
of daguerreotype photography, steamboat traffic on the Sacramento
River, the state of firefighting in San Francisco, celebrity
entertainers and religious observances - all themes that can be
detected from a careful reading of the daily newspapers.

doors open at 7 PM, presentation starts at approximately 7:45 PM
