connect with what cannot be concocted), digital sounds are creating a
new global mythology. This is the central premise of Global Beat
Fusion by music journalist/DJ Derek Beres. Over the last three years
he has been closely tracking the scene under numerous premises,
covering the scene in national magazines (including Remix, Urb,
Trace, Paste, XLR8R and Relix) and DJing some of the hottest parties
(GlobeSonic, Kollective and Turntables on the Hudson). He studied
religion at Rutgers University, yoga and Thai massage at Atmananda
Yoga, and is a voracious reader of mythology, psychology,
anthropology and sociology. The book is the continual results of this
unique perspective on modern ritual. Join us for a great night
