The first annual Whisper Culture Boat Show will take
place on Saturday, September 24. We will cruise the
bay in a Blue and Gold Fleet ferryboat, touring around
Angel Island, Alcatraz, Sausalito, and the Golden Gate
Bridge. The boat departs at 8pm, from Pier 39.

The Boat Show showcases innovative artists working in
a variety of mediums. This three hour tour features
music by the MALL, Phase Chancellor (with Martin
Schmidt from Matmos), and Blevin Blectum, an LED light
installation by Nathalie Roland, new media dance and
installation work by group A, video art by Kendra Juul
and Kristin Miltner, a sound installation by miba, and
upbeat dance music with DJ Ryan.

Whisper Culture is a group of local multimedia artists
who bring experimental music, dance, video, and
installation art to a wider audience by presenting
work in dynamic social settings. Our mission is to
increase the awareness and accessibility of
experimental art, encourage and foster
inter-disciplinary collaborations among artists,
champion emerging artists who blur the lines between
pop and high art and create settings in which such
work is appreciated and enjoyed.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
* BART - Take BART to the Embarcadero Station. Go upstairs and cross
The Embarcadero to the Ferry Building. In front of the Ferry
Building, take the "F" line trolley to PIER 39. Note: The "F" line
trolley comes to Fisherman's Wharf from Castro/Market for Bart
riders
* MUNI - PIER 39 is easily accessible from all points in San
Francisco via public transportation. The Muni buses that serve the
Pier are #47, 15, and 10....we

BY CAR
* DRIVING FROM THE EAST BAY - Take the Bay Bridge to San Francisco.
Stay to the left after Treasure Island. Take the first exit which is
the Main Street/Embarcadero Exit. At the bottom of the off-ramp, turn
right at Harrison, go three blocks to The Embarcadero. Turn left and
follow the street one-and-one-half miles. PIER 39 will be on the right
side of the street.
* DRIVING FROM THE SOUTH BAY - Take Highway 101 North and follow the
signs to the Bay Bridge. Take the 4th Street exit and veer left on to
Bryant Street. Follow
Bryant to The Embarcadero. Turn left on to the Embarcadero and go
approximately one-and-one-half miles. PIER 39 will be on the right
side of the street.
* DRIVING FROM THE NORTH BAY - Take Highway 101 South and cross the
Golden Gate Bridge. Take the Lombard Street exit. Follow Lombard
Street approximately two
miles. Turn left on Van Ness Avenue. Turn right on Bay Street. Follow
Bay to The Embarcadero. Turn left on The Embarcadero. You will see
PIER 39 on the right
side of the street.
