In 2005, Austin's famous Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is setting out on a
6000 mile, 21 day journey, across the west for a series of film
screenings that will take the movie-going experience to a whole new
level.

With our spectacular "Rolling Roadshow" rig (a mobile outdoor
projection unit complete with a full 35mm changeover projection
system, stereo sound and a 50-foot inflatable screen), we will be
screening 11 famous films in their original shooting locations,
chosen specifically to intensify the viewing experience.

Steve McQueen tears up the streets of San Francisco as Lt. Frank
Bullitt in this seminal car chase classic. 36 years later, it's the
audience's turn to investigate the city, solving clues in our BULLITT
Road Rally!

Here's how the road rally works:
Teams will meet at a location (The Parking lot across from the
Safeway at Marina and Laguna, a spot on the Bullitt Chase route!) in
San Francisco at 3:30 PM, day of the show. Here, you will receive a
CD and a set of clues. The clues and the CD will guide you across the
city, past many of the shooting locations of the film. You will gain
points by successfully completing the tasks and arriving at
checkpoints on time. There will be prizes awarded after the movie, as
well as a slideshow of everyone's photos from the rally.

What you will need for the road rally:
A map of San Francisco
Yellow pages for San Francisco
A CD player
A digital camera

The rally should take you approximately 2 hours to complete. The
screening will begin at 8:15 PM.

Tickets are also available for the screening only. NOTE: If you have
a San Francisco driver's license or ID, the "screening only" option
is free! You can just show up at Washington Square for the film and
present your ID at the registration table.
