On Dwelling on Dwelling On: Intimate Interior Industrial Strength

A collaborative installation of artwork by the two artists
living together in a large, productive live/work studio in the midst
of a huge construction zone. Most others were evicted from this huge
building, part of a larger art complex, one of the first created from
old factories in the Fruitvale District of Oakland. Garsson and
Moreno legally battle the rampant greed of a landlord who seeks to
evict them as well. So far the artists are prevailing in this fight.
This exhibition is both a celebration of their courageous stance, and
an exposition of the kind of creativity that can grow out of the
willingness to assert and stand by what you know is right.
