The Delivery Room is a monthly open-mic series dedicated to =20
recognizing and elevating the artistry of spoken word. Every Second =20
Sunday,The DR features some of the most innovative and engaging poets =20=

in the South Bay along with an open-mic for all to share their truths =20=

and testimonies.The DR is hosted by Lidia Tlahuixaya Doniz =20
(Tezkatlipoka Danza Azteca) with DJ Chatos 1013.
September's(Sunday9/11)featured poets are headRush;
Made up of Oakland-based educators, headRush seeks to inspire social =20
action
within working class communities through guerrilla-style performance. =20=

They
combine elements of Chicano Theatre and Spoken Word Poetry to create a
unique rush of psycho-politico satire.

MACLA is an energizing contemporary arts space where Latino artists =20
create and showcase new work in the visual, literary, and performance =20=

arts to help define, interpret, and transform society.
