The World Institute on Disability (WID) and the Corporation on
Disabilities and Telecommunication (CDT) take great pride in
presenting the 7th Annual EVER WIDENING CIRCLE: An Evening of
Entertainment Celebrating Art and Disability - featuring an
entertaining and diverse assemblage of celebrated performers with
disabilities. This year we are proud to present our headliner - 13
year-old Jazz Virtuoso with autism, MATT SAVAGE and his Jazz Trio
(Steve Sliverstein - drums and John Funkhouser - bass). In addition
other performers include actress MICHELLE BANKS - (Deaf West
Theatre's production of the critically-acclaimed musical,
BIG RIVER, and her one-woman show REFLECTIONS OF A DEAF BLACK
WOMAN); AXIS Dance Company - The East Bay based & Internationally
acclaimed ensemble of dancers with and without disabilities; and
MICHAEL LEE - a blind comedian. Actor and San Francisco resident
DANNY GLOVER is the honorary chair of the event. This annual
celebration of an array of the best performers with disabilities
working today is a one-night-only performance on Thursday, September
29 at 7:00 pm at The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theatre, 700
Howard St. (at Third St.) in SF. Tickets are $15 -$50. (Group

The event is a benefit for WID and CDT and is presented by Verizon

profit public policy center dedicated to promoting independence and
full societal inclusion of people with disabilities. Founded in 1982,
The Corporation on Disabilities and Telecommunication (CDT) is a non-
profit organization that works to transform disability stereotypes by
providing access and opportunities for performers and mediamakers
with disabilities.
