GREEN ROOM NOW: Okwui Enwezor in conversation with Meredith Tromble

Okwui Enwezor, a Nigerian-born curator and critic best-known for
organizing Documenta 11 and his writings on contemporary African art,
will become the sixth dean of the San Francisco Art Institute July 1.
Stretcher presents an on-stage conversation introducing Enwezor to
the Bay Area audience, covering a wide range of topics from curating
and teaching to poetry.

Enwezor says: "I see the practice of art in the broader network of
knowledge production. So, for me, the challenge is not just whether
an education can train artists of the highest quality but also if it
can enable artists for their larger role in the community and the
world."
