Spritz, A Technology That Aims to Redesign Reading by Eliminating the Need to Move Our Eyes

Spritz Reading Technology

Spritz is a technology from the company of the same name, founded by Frank Waldman and Maik Maurer, that streams text in such a way that allows users to read and comprehend it without actually moving their eye. The idea here is that the problem with reading speed isn’t that we can’t understand things faster; the problem is that moving our eyes to the next word creates a gap in understanding. The company has a full page dedicated to the science behind their reading methodology.

The technology, which was released at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, is meant to be inserted within other apps and websites to allow whatever text they include to be streamed via Spritz.

Now, with compact text streaming from Spritz, content can be streamed one word at a time, without forcing your eyes to spend time moving around the page. Spritz makes streaming your content easy and more comfortable, especially on small displays. Our “Redicle” technology enhances readability even more by using horizontal lines and hash marks to direct your eyes to the red letter in each word, so you can focus on the content that interests you.
