Shots From the Sci-Fi Classic Blade Runner Rendered in the Style of Van Gogh’s Starry Night

Photographer and digital artist Bhautik Joshi has rendered some iconic shots from the sci-fi classic Blade Runner in the style of Van Gogh‘s Starry Night. The piece was created using Deep Neural Networks to process the images.

Earlier this month, Joshi rendered scenes from 2001: A Space Odyssey in the style of Pablo Picasso.

To create these I used a hacked-up version of Style Transfer by the indestructible Frank Liu. The technique is an implementation of A Neural Algorithm of Artistic Style which uses Deep Neural Networks to copy the artistic rendering from one image to another.
