‘Psycho Soup’, A Remix by Pogo of Sounds From the Video Game ‘Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’

Psycho Soup” is a remix by electronic music artist Christopher Nicholas Bertke — known also as “Pogo” (see previously) — of sounds from Gearbox Software and 2K Games‘ newly released first-person shooter video game Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

I spent around 4 weeks extracting sounds from the game files, applying hacks to the game to disable the HUD, slow time and shoot almost everything you see in the video. Apart from being addictive and insanely fun, Borderlands looks beautiful. I could spend hours shooting the environments alone. There is so much attention to detail that you simply don’t notice when you’re busy slaying psychos and hunting for epic loot. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.
