I found it! This hunt has been bugging me for a while.

My friend from Minnesota is visiting for the weekend and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to look for these shirts. Obviously the store is either at Fisherman’s Warf or Chinatown. It has to be some tourist location because of that cheap white SF sweatshirt hanging in the background.

Walking through Chinatown I made it a point to look at the floor at every shirt shop we passed. (notice the wood tile floor in the picture of the black shirt).

Hey guys…I decided to throw this contest on a whim originally over at the Cacophony list and it ended up over here. I first noticed that these shirts were on sale when my niece wanted to buy one in 2004. Only one tourist shop is selling the black Queensboro bridge. I checked all the stores I could find over the past years because I thought it was a hoot that the Tsing Ma bridge was being passed of as the gate and had a tag that said made in the USA.

Ok …I could end this contest at the end of the month and Just buy drinks for the people that identified what bridge it was and the person that gave the closest answer. This could cost as much as dinner if they are drinkers.

Or I could run this contest out till 2019 when the Transbay Terminal will be done. with hope that someone will see the shirt and remember the contest.

But I’m just as impatient as Plug1, so one more clue in case the second picture of a shirt did not give you any ideas. I’m ending the contest on February 7, 2008.

Remember Name of store and Address, this is a prize with a 100 buck value. And a little walk will do you good.

its def not diesel, they dont use yellow pricing stickers, they use hang-tags.

its some sort of souvenir shop, and you can find them on mid-market, powell, grant and pier 39.

That’s the Queensboro Bridge in NYC & the store is Diesel SF on Market.

That’s not the Bay Bridge, and obviously not the Golden Gate Bridge, so I’m assuming the picture isn’t even from San Francisco.
The Brooklyn Bridge has intersecting support wires, as opposed to the vertical ones found on our bridges in the bay, so perhaps it’s from there?

My guess would be that its not the golden gate or bay bridge. Possibly a bridge in NY … like the Brooklyn bridge or Manhattan bridge.
