Recreating the Sound of Rain by Layering the Sounds of Single Water Droplets Falling on Different Surfaces

In the video “Amaoto no Yurai” (“The Origin of the Sound of Rain”), digital artist Yugo Nakamura recreates the sound of rain by layering the sounds of individual water droplets falling on a variety of surfaces including dirt, a leaf, and a snail. The video was created for TECHNE, Japanese TV program that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the motion graphics industry.
