ReadWriteWeb

Marshall Kirkpatrick, who is a lead writer for excellent web technology news blog ReadWriteWeb, recently wrote a post on “Ten Sites for Finding Wonderful Things” and we were honered to be included along with our friends from Boing Boing, Waxy and Neatorama.

Laughing Squid is a great place to find cool art, projects and photography from San Francisco and elsewhere. It’s the work of web-hosting company owner and aficionado of cool Scott Beale.

Beale’s posts regularly hit the front page of Digg and his excellent photos are regularly ripped off without attribution by mainstream media outlets.

Check out the comments on Marshall’s post for more great recommendations. I’ve already added subscribed to several of them on Google Reader.

“…his excellent photos are regularly ripped off without attribution by mainstream media outlets.”

Because we bloggers aren’t “serious media” like they are, thus we deserve no respect and no credit. Especially when MSM wants to rip off a story or lead they were too lazy or inept to generate themselves.

You ought to watermark your images, Scott, with a word or two that express your opinion of those who steal without attribution.
