This is great news. We invested in RackSpace back in 1999-2000 at a mere .50 a share. We (shareholders) turned down an IBM buyout and watched the bubble leave us high and dry. Let see some returns after 8 years.

I do remember that bubble. I'd say in about 3 years you won't be able to call it “the bubble” anymore. More like “a bubble” or “the first bubble.” I seem to recall a whole host of IPOs in the valley back then. You might want to start shopping around for a new hosting company! Profitable companies don't go public…

Um hello? We started using Rackspace in 1999. If you recall data centers were way too overpriced in San Francisco back then. Do you remember that little thing called the bubble?

Also we have customers all over the world, not just in San Francisco. This internet thing is global.

The bottom line is that we need to do what is best for our our customers and business in general, and in this situation Rackspace has been a major factor in our success all of these years.

You're servers are in a datacenter in TEXAS!!? WTF? With all the data centers in San Francisco? Hello? What happened to the ethic of supporting progressive San Francisco companies?
