I’m sorry, but $500 jeans to “dress like a grownup?” That’s more akin to dressing like a rich adolescent seeking the approval of others. Give me a break. How about being an adult who buys the 30-50 buck jeans and donating the rest of that money burning a hole in your pocket to a decent charitable org? I’d rather meet THAT adult.
Pretentious, pompous nonsense. If anyone feels that jeans (the original utilitarian clothing item) should be pricey and fashionable, not only do I doubt their ability to act like a “grownup” — since they obviously failed Home Ec classes as a teenager — but their adolescent obsession with peer approval is still stuck in high school as well. Maybe these guys should refer to the “We Are Douchebags” video for further training?
Stop being such whiney children. They are just covering what is out there in the market. I thought that it was interesting to see the segment on the denim designers and what is happening on the high end. I’m not going to buy them because I don’t need to spend $500 on jeans, but it’s still interesting. I can do this because I’m secure. I’m even secure enough not to come on someone else’s blog crying about someone covering $500 jeans.
