We are considering doing a stage version of Princess Bride as a fundraiser. Does anyone know of a script available for a stage version?

I wrote an adaptation for a high school theatre production and tried to purchase the rights, but I did not receive a response from Mr. Goldman, his publisher, or his attorney.

Question answered: They didn’t get the rights. They just went and did it. Any inquiries to the play group have been abruptly cut short or not answered at all. I would also highly doubt that they would even allow a stage adaptation at this point because of the stage musical being workshopped right now.

Darlene, it appears that you cannot read or else you would realize that we did not produce this play. There is no reason to respond to something that we were not involved with.

Here’s a crazy idea, why not contact the people who produced the play.

How do you obtain the rights to preform this play and not have it violate copyrights? I have been thinking of doing TPB on myself in my hometown.
