There were lots of hats and styles of custom art to choose from at their street booth.
During my recent visit to New York City, I stopped by Times Square and had the guys at NYC Custom Stuff personalize a trucker hat for me as a souvenir of my trip. NYC Custom Stuff. is located at 42nd Street, between 7th & 8th Avenue in New York City (across from the big blingy McDonald’s). Prices range from $15+.
Here’s a look at what it was like to get a custom hat from them:
First, you flip through a big book to choose what style lettering you want for your hat. Then you pick the color hat you want. I went for multi-colored old school style graffiti lettering and a bright blue hat.
They then ask you to write your name so they spell it correctly. I handed them my card which is shown here sitting on a box of their tools of the trade: graffiti paint markers.
Then they go to work.
It takes about 10-15 minutes for them to customize a hat, so while I waited, I took some pictures of their display hats that are decorated with familiar pop culture characters.
